Several regional integrity commissions and anti-corruption bodies will participate in four days of training to be hosted by the Grenada Integrity Commission (IC) as part of its annual “Virtual Centre of Excellence Series - Senior Leadership and Management Training Programme”.
The Training will be held 25 to 28 March, at the VIP Lounge of the Kirani James Athletic Stadium.
The Virtual Centre of Excellence Series began in 2017, with Grenada taking the lead to provide training in anti-corruption best practices. This year’s programme will bring together key Integrity Commission stakeholders such as the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Department of Public Prosecutions and the Audit Department.
The Programme will cover topics focused on global best practices for Public Sector Management Systems.
Lead facilitator is Dr Roger Koranteng, Interim Advisor and Head of Public Sector Governance, Commonwealth Secretariat. Dr Koranteng is the 2018 Winner of the Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award, given by the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center.
Chairman of the Commonwealth Caribbean Association of Integrity Commissions and Anti-Corruption Bodies (CCAICACB) Dirk Harrison, who was in Grenada for the Integrity Commission’s Anti-Corruption Day activities last December, will also be a facilitator.
Executive Members of the CCAICACB and Regional Chairpersons, Commissioners and other anti-corruption personnel from Guyana, St Lucia, Dominica, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, Department of Public Administration (DPA) and IC Commissioners and staff will also participate over the four days.
